The Life of Rasu 46: My Melbourne Trip
Hey Everyone!!! I'm BACK!!! Where have I been you ask? In MELBOURNE ofcourse, i've only been talking about it for the past 6 or 7 BLOGS!!! lol.
But seriously, i just got back from my weekend away to visit Elisa and Britty in Melbourne/Ballarat. Why the slash? Because even though the girls live in Ballarat, we spent SO much more time in Melbourne.
And let me tell you, Melbourne is freakin AWESOME!!! It's like the cultured capitol of Australia. Everywhere is art and culture and cool stuf... and culture. Man, i should stop using the word culture.
So I got my XTREMEly early flight into Melb Airport. Once i exited the flight, having a little turbelence and getting a little sleep, i was lost in a gigantic unknown airport. Luckily the girls had told me to go to the Skybus, and there was a gigantic SKYBUS booth right outside the door, so finding it was easy peasy. Once i got my ticket and i was on the skybus, I was off into the city.
It felt surreal, like you know how when you watch movies or play video games, and there's always that starting intro or sequence of just the main character riding into town, and on the way, you pass all these wierd things and stuff. I felt like that (you'll see in my video). What was funny though, was I was filming on the bus, and a guy on the seat accross from me kept staring at me like some wierd tourist. Well i thought I'd have some fun. So i turned to him, and said, in my best impersonation of a foriegn accent "O, This is.. uh how you say.. first time in Melbourne". OMG, and he actualyl BOUGHT IT! He was like 'O cool'. LOL AHAHA I was trying not to laugh on the rest of the bus trip.
So I got to melbourne, and met up with Britty and Elisa and their Mum. And off we went to spend the whole day having fun. Well for the first part of the day, we shopped. By 'we shopped', i mean i followed them into a variety of different shopped and watched them try on clothes, or even try on books (dont ask). Dont get the idea i was bored, i wasn't, it was actually alot of fun. I did end up buying myself something, i brought a really nice leather wallet.
So at this point, i've started filming everything, and the girls are REALLY getting annoyed at me cause aparently it was embarrassing. it made me feel really stupid and embarrassed myself, but later on they let up a bit and let me film and take more pictures some more.
So after the shops, we headed up into the streets, and entered a gigantic metropolis hub of activity. Melbourne is very busy, yet very nice and interesting as well. Protestors line the sides of the sidewalk outside KFC's trying to get you not to eat, while accross from them, a KFC spruker stands there handing out KFC leaflets. LOL! There was also alot of bums and poverty on the streets, but meh, just ignore them.
So we visited some more stores, and walked down some more streets. Picture Break:
Ok, so then we went to Federation square, where we visited some awesome art galleries, including this really amazing film one. AWESOME!!! So then, there was this rap battle goin on in the middle of federation square, so we watched that. It was pretty cool. I got one of them on video on my camera phone, so its inserted into the Video Blog for this blog.
Anywho, we then decided to head home to Ballarat. After the LONG train trip (sorry), we got to the keelers house, and it was really cool! Elisa's room was really arty and HUGE! Britty's room was messy, just like before, but she had an awesome new laptop now.
SO that night, we watched movies on the couch and just laid around. We watched Rocky Horror Picture Show, and then Superbad. LOL two awesome movies. it was then REALLY late, so we all went to bed. I was on a little fold out bed in Elisa's room, while Elisa was in her bed, and Britty was off in her room (Britty HATES to get woken up). lol. I think, if i remember correctly, Me and Elisa went to bed, then suddenly started having a conversation, which went on and on and must of lasted a good hour or two. AND it was gr8, to just talk 1-on-1 with Elisa. ANywho, by that point, we were both exhausted, so we fell asleep.
Morning, and its about 10 minutes to 11 Oclock, and i have to leave the house at 12:30 to catch my plane. ARGH! where did the day go!! Lol but it was an ok morning. we just laid around and hung out. Then Elisa, and im very grateful for this, helped me by being a model for my photography class. And by the way Elisa, the photos turned out GREAT! I'm still doing some extra touches to them, but here's two previews!:
So, to end this blog post, Heres the BIG ATTRACTION, which is my video blog of the WHOLE trip... Well atleast a bit of the trip! hehe

P.S. Plz don't judge on these photos, since i have GREATLY decreased the QUALITY to make them appear on the internet. The originals are EXTREMELY sharp and high-quality, and picture looks much better. Cheerz!
